About our Church
At Lick Creek Pentecostal Church we
seek to lead people to a greater relationship
with Jesus Christ....
Our main goal is to REACH OUT for
the souls of men, women and children, to
win them over to a powerful Faith Covenant
Relationship with Jesus Christ our Lord.
We desire to see people experience and
continue to enjoy a true biblical "Born
Again" experience, as spoken of in the
Scriptures, and to live a victorious Christian
life according to 1John 5: 18-20.
We search for the two attributes Jesus
described in the John 4:24, "God i s a Spirit:
and they that worship him must worship him
in spirit and in truth"; spirit refers to desire
and truth refers to reality, openness and
honesty before Him.
Secondly, to provide a "warm sense of
community". This atmosphere is built on
genuine love and concern, and the desire to
have people "belong". We at Lick Creek
Pentecostal Church are working hard to
develop a non-judgmental atmosphere
while at the same time placing a high value
on Godly influence and being a Christian
example.
Third is to provide teaching, training and
development, based on the Word of God in a
multitude of ministry methods.
To preach, teach and inspire people to obey
"Higher thoughts" and "Higher ways".
Isaiah 55: 8-9; For my thoughts are not your thoughts,
neither are your ways my ways, said the LORD. 9:For as the
heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than
your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.
The Lick Creek Pentecostal Church ministry
exists to provide people of all ages with the kind
of loving atmosphere that is conducive to spiritual
growth. We desire to love you where you are
and lovingly help you become what God wants
you to be. We encourage people to become
"planted" in the church where they will "grow" and
bring forth "fruit".
Those that be planted in the house of the LORD shall
flourish in the courts of our God. Psalms 92:13
Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of
itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye
abide in me. John 15:4
And to provide ministry preparation,
ordination and placement, to help people find
and fulfill their purpose by becoming a functional
part of the body of Christ (we believe in being a
"team" as stated in Romans 12:6-8).
We also strive to develop leaders who can
scripturally be effective, serve the body of
Christ, and not promote their own agenda or
ministering for selfish gain. Leaders must be
developed who can relate to what Christ taught
and implement it with people as Christ did.
